Meditation’s Energetic Principles– Based on the principle of displacement, when congested stress energy is cleansed from the body, via loving and kind intentions, more divine love energy will fill it’s place. So it pays to do the simple mettamercy meditation regularly for cleansing of the solar plexus chakra and the activation of the heart chakra. If you wish to attain greater effectiveness begin your meditation with 3- 5 cycles of rhythmic breathing holding for a count of 3 at the top and bottom and inhaling and exhaling to a count of 6.

Take a Deep Breath, Inhale Loving-Kindness– 5 to 7 cycles of slow breathing rhythmically (through your nose for 6-3-6-3) that is, inhaling for a count of 6 and holding for 3, and exhaling for a count of 6 and holding for 3. Rhythmic breathing produces dramatic changes in your nervous system, slowing it down without compromising on brain activity or function. Moreover, it cleanses the solar plexus chakras where we tend to store worrisome thoughts, and frustrated energy, thus making the mind a bit quieter and the body more relaxed. When the solar plexus is partially cleansed, the heart center has opportunity to be more open and feelings of peace are the natural by-product. Be sure to breathe from the belly region and let the upper chest relax. Upper chest breathing while contracting the lower rib cage can stress you out more, because it restricts the diaphragmatic area, further congesting the solar plexus chakras. Breathing while feeling connected to the True Nature of Love within you is very potent. Practice regularly for maximum impact.
